Physical Traits: Pointed ears. Half Dragon infants take the physical form of their human or demihuman parent. Few physical features identify a newborn babe as a Half Dragon, though there are telltale signs that a careful observer could not miss. The Half Dragon newborn usually has eyes or hair that are the colour of the dragon parent's scales such as gold, silver, red or bronze. As they reach adulthood Half Dragons grow tall and lean no matter what human or demihuman blood mixes with their draconic heritage. The dragon heritage then begins to develop, overwhelming lesser genes. During adolescence dragonlike powers manifest themselves. These abilities become stronger and more pronounced with time and use until a Half Dragon grows to full power. Physical changes accompany the appearance of these abilities, eventually metamorphosing the youth into a beautiful and unique being.

Reproduction: Sexual. Avengelions are the result of polymorphed dragons breeding with human, demihuman or humanoid females. Dragons that can polymorph into a race form can breed with whatever race they have become. Half Dragons are rare and are best used sparingly. Though they are viable and capable of breeding among themselves and races there aren't hordes of Half Dragons running around. Only male dragons and female humans or demihumans can create half dragon children; female dragons cannot be impregnated by male humans or demihumans and beings other than humans or demihumans cannot bear a dragon's children. Demihumans include Elves, Half Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, and similar humanlike races. Only those dragons with the innate power to polymorph themselves into human or demihuman shape can interbreed with the latter while in the latter's form.

Avengelion Types:

Silver dragons love humanity and elvenkind and their propensity to walk among them in their guises has led to several half-silvers. Due to their friendly relations with their dragon parent Half Silvers tend to be the friendliest, most well adjusted and least bitter Half Dragons. They are often considered the most beautiful Half Dragons. Argentums start with Emission Cold are immune to all cold attacks.
Half Golds are friendly, honest, noble, trustworthy and honourable. Aurics start with Emission Fire are immune to all fire and heat attacks.
Half Bronzes are friendly, open, curious and gregarious. Berenj start with Emission Electrical are immune to all electrical attacks.
Half Reds are defined by their arrogance, cruelty, selfishness and generally malignant nature. Half Reds are the only evil form of Half Dragons due to other dragons devouring any humanoids they encounter (absolutely no chance of mating). The Reds' desire for human and demihuman maidens is well documented, and most of the time they simply end up eating them. However, sometimes half-reds will allow adventurers to rescue a maiden they have captive making sure to send a present back with the mother.. They like the chaos and evil their bastard children can bring upon the world, and bear their Half Reds no ill will. Sangrians start with Emission Fire are immune to all fire and heat attacks.


Creating an Avengelion character

Step 1: Age
Determine your character's age. If older than 100 you need to determine which years you have been present in.
01-20 10 xD4 years
21-40 10 xD6 years

91-00 10 x4D10 years
Next decide what you have been doing. Were you involved in any famous historical incidents? In the present day where does your character live or is he a wanderer, moving around continuously?
Step 2: Attributes
Roll attributes as normal but then add +6 to INT and CON. AC 2, and Mana = INT + WIS x3. Mana is recovered at a rate of 10 per hour if remain active (but not using magic) and 20 per hour if asleep. Mana can however be permanently traded for HPs at a rate of 1 for 1. Hit points = CON +12, +12 per level.
Step 3: Skills

Choose skills in the normal manner according to the character's class. Then for every 100 years alive select 1 additional skill.

Step 4: Abilities

Avengelions gain all the following free;

Half Dragon Body - Avengelions are extremely hardy, able to absorb an amazing amount of damage before they are hurt. Even then they can regenerate that damage very quickly depending on what made the wound. Only magical or supernatural damage can be truly fatal.

+10 Mana at levels 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20.

+1 Spell save at levels 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18.

+1 Sanity save at levels 2, 5, 9, 11, 13 and 17.

+1 Willpower save at levels 1, 4, 8, 12, 14, 16 and 20.

Additionally Avengelions start with 35 Points to spend on any of the following abilities. As they earns more experience they may buy or rebuy more abilities.

Ability Cost Notes
Attack Heals 10 With this ability any attack made against the character using his emission type heals him instead. Roll damage as normal, the amount done is the amount added to his HPs. If it exceeds his original amount then the extra is lost.
Avengelic Flight 5 This character can glide at WIS x2kph, +5kph per level with a maximum ceiling height of one kilometre. The character can carry his normal weight carrying capacity without it affecting his speed. After that he loses 1kph for every 10 additional kilograms.
Avengelic Sight 5 The character can see the true image of any person or object regardless of any form of concealment, disguise, illusion or invisibility. This also includes the ability to detect whether it is magical, and whether it is harmful or helpful.

Intimidating 5 This character has greater presence, +1 CHA
Linguistic 5 The character can speak and understand the language of whoever he is currently talking to.
Smell 5 Smell increases to x1 normal range per 3 WIS with an additional x1 per level. It can only be used for smelling poison or impurities in food and beverage.
Spellcast 10 The cost is for each sphere of magic he wishes to learn. He starts with one spell per INT point over 9, he can learn an equal amount per level. Thus INT 13 = 3 spells +3 per level. The spells can come from any sphere of magic except Divine and in any combination. See Avengelion Attributes for how much mana he has.
Will 5 This ability gives the character +1 per 5 WIS to save vs any Possession, Mind Control, Paralysis, Sleep and Charm based attacks. 
Step 5: Classes
Any but mage classes come more naturally.
Step 6: Disadvantages

Many supernatural classes include Templars, Apostulates and spellcasters will recognise you for what you are. Their reactions will vary.
